Ukraine Visa Information
Click here for offical information about visas to Ukraine. This is the U.S. site for Ukraine tourism. Once the page loads, delete "usa" from the address in your browser and replace it with the name of your country in English (i.e., "india" or "italy"). When it loads, choose your national language on the top righthand corner.
In a Nutshell:
• People whose passports are for the U.S.A.,
Canada, member states of the European Union and Switzerland do not need
visas. (*This was true as of 16 September 2007, but please confirm this
with your local consulate.)
• Passports should have at least 6 months remaining before the expiration date from the event.
• Those applying for a visa may need a Letter of Invitation. In some cases, a faxed copy will do. In others, an original is required. Because the requirements vary from country to country, and because they may change prior to the conference, we recommend that you check with the Consular Section of the Ukrainian Embassy in your home country to confirm exactly what is required for entry to Ukraine.
• Those who need a Letter of Invitation should notify the NYC '08 Team no later than 1 March, 2008. If you apply after this, we'll do our best to process it, but we can't guarantee that you'll receive a visa in time for the event. (There are many things we can control. This is not one of them.) Make sure you clarify whether you need the original letter or a copy and tell us when you apply for it. E-mail us with your name and home country; we'll forward your information to the appropriate person.
• If you have questions that aren't addressed here, e-mail us and we'll do our best to help.
