Annual meeting sets goals, plans for coming year

 Lisbon, Portugal – NYI leaders from the Western Mediterranean Field met 6-8 Jan. in Lisbon, Portugal to pray, plan and dream together about the coming year. Leaders accepted the challenge to encourage every church on the field to have an active youth ministry.
New goals include having Youth in Mission teams at both a district and field level every other year, beginning Bible Quizzing up to a field tournament level, hosting regular district and field training events to prepare young leaders to minister more effectively, and finding new and creative ways to reach lost young people for Jesus Christ.
The council also planned the upcoming field young congress, set for 28 Dec. near Montpellier, France with the theme, “The Cross and the Towel: Excellence in Service.”
